Gas Leak Procedures
Some of the initial safety procedures for handling a gas leak includes;
- Do NOT switch on any lights or start an open flame
- Open all doors, windows, and close any open flames
- Completely close off all gas appliances if possible
- Contact the local gas company to rectify the leak
- If the smell of gas continues, evacuate the building and call the police
