AED Portable Heart Defibrillators
Automated External Defibrillator lessons - also called a Defib - represent entry-level training to recognize the warning signs of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and administer first aid using Basic Life Support techniques (BLS). Automated External Defibrillators can extend the window of opportunity, while rescuers activate the local emergency medical services, (EMS) and/or arrange for evacuation to the nearest appropriate medical facility. Heart disease is a common problem that we should not ignore and sometimes it happens in remote locations that may be some distance from emergency medical help, so it can be critically important to prepare for every emergency.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills taught in these lessons:
This course has no prerequisites and you don’t need any previous CPR or First Aid Training to participate in the lesson. During the class you will learn about;
