Additional Recommended Skills:
o Emergency Oxygen Use Orientation.
Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Students will also focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills taught in these lessons:
This course has no prerequisites and you don’t need any previous CPR or First Aid Training to participate in the lesson. During the class you will learn about;
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Cardiovascular disease
- The heart and heart attacks
- The 'Chain of Survival'
- The benefits of Resuscitation and Defibrillation
- Legal considerations for lay person rescuers
